flash drive issues

Heyy! I know this isn't directly related to class but I don't know what happened to my flash drive but it won't let me save anything else on it or erase whats already on it. It says is is "write-protected" and I tried to re-partition it but that's not working. Ideas?

Is there a lock on it? For example you can move the tab on SD cards to the lock position and it wont let you record, or delete anything. Is there something like that on your flash drive?

After analyzing your drive with different and increasingly sophisticated tools it was discovered that it was infected with a very malicious virus that is almost impossible to remove, even by the strongest virus protection programs. Whatever the Windows machine you got it from make sure you don't spread it any further. Your drive right now is on it's third tier of support and so far the critter is still AALLLIIIVEEE! whooooOOOOUU!

Oh man, that's crazy. I have no idea how that happened... Thanks for trying to fix it though! I really appreciate it!
