The best of times and the worst of times

I was reading Arturo's recent posts and comments and was thinking about how the Internet seems to be evolving in ways that many did not expect, "moving away from the formats of older media and toward new conventions" (Hamlet on the Holodeck). One such future look at the evolution of the Internet can be found in a youtube video entitled 2014 EPIC.
