Arrested Development....It's Back.

The day has finally come. The world has finally realized the brilliance that was Arrested Development, that ran for 3 seasons until it was cancelled in 2006.

For about a year, I have been on the e-mail list for this website (yes, I am a super-fan) to make sure that I was one of the first to hear about any new 'developments' on the documentary project...I had actually thought that it was never going to happen! But I held on hope, and now my dreams are coming true.

The show is coming on for one more season before the documentary debuts, so that the viewers can see what the characters have been up to since the end of the original run of the series.

Since the end of the series, the show has been growing in popularity with the help of its availability oh Hulu.com and Netflix. I have heard so much buzz about the show in the last few years, I see why they are bringing it back.

The show has so many stars, those who were popular then and those who have come into stardom today. Will Arnett, Portia de Rossi, Jason Bateman, Michael Cera, David Cross, Jeffrey Tambor....

New York Times, 2006:
"The satire revolves around the Bluths, a family of narcissists and lunatics (a misalliance between "The Royal Tenenbaums" and "The Simpsons") whose real estate company is forever under government investigation. The Bluths are deliciously self-centered and absurd, the dialogue is quick and corrosively funny, and yet "Arrested Development" is not addictive. It is possible to fully enjoy one episode and not feel compelled to see what happens next."
"The Fox sitcom won fervent praise from critics and an Emmy for best television comedy, but it really takes the prize for the funniest show that nobody watched."

There are too many shows out there that are absolutely brilliant, but do not get the attention and recognition that they deserve, and it makes this TV-R student very, very happy to finally see AD resurface, if only for a moment.
I highly suggest that all of you, if you haven't already, educate yourselves on the comedic brilliance that is Arrested Development before the season and documentary are released.
